Kudos

I just wanted to say Kudos to whoever makes, posts, or discovers all of the wallpapers on the site! They all look amazing!

Followed the link to CrackB and printed out the shortcuts so I can keep them with me. Not to mention try to learn them all. Coming from iP, where everything is pretty cut and dry, I'm finding this phone is fascinating and can do so much. All sorts of hidden gems. Much thnx--the shortcuts are great!

You're very kind for taking the time to help us newbies. Hope I can do the same some day. :D :D

Thanks again James. Maybe the sales people at ATT need to learn more about the product. If you are converting from iPhone like I did, just use the Desktop Mgr. It will lead you to media and give you the choice to convert from iTunes. You might need to buy a bigger memory card like I did but it's easy to do. I had all several people at the store tell me different (and difficult) ways to transfer but it's all in Desktop Mgr. I've found only a few salespeople even knew much about BB. Sad because the phone is the best thing they carry. 22626B57

You're the best James!

To transfer the music I use the Rhapsody software that is in the Desktop Manager and I add music on to my Storm without any problems. People share their PIN's so they can talk through BlackBerry Messenger. It is the most important app for BlackBerry users. It is like SMS for free between BlackBerry users.

Cleaning your screen is pretty standard. You could use those cloths that come with the glasses, but often times just use a damp towel and then dry it real well. I have a touchscreen phone, so I wouldn't really know what to suggest for cleaning the keyboard.

Since you are a newbie there are a couple sites that you should check out.....

blackberry.com/beta Here you can join to get the beta apps from RIM.
www.mobspot.com This is a great place to find apps and download them through App World

Thanks James and I am happy to be here. Coming from an iPhone, I thought I'd hate the BB Bold but I love it. So much more intelligent. I thought I couldn't do simple things like check weather or stock but found that whatever iP can do, BB can do. I got BB maps too. Plus apps that I often used on iP. Love, love, love my phone and the forums here. Yes, I got it from here but did not save to my memory card, as you suggest. I bought a 16-g card because I had too much music from iTunes to put on the BB. No one at the ATT store knew how I could transfer the music. They told me to burn it to CD and then burn to BB, etc. Problem is even the sales people don't know all the ins and outs of the phone. When I downloaded Desktop Mgr, there was a prompt to convert from iTunes! I also found the pin where you said it could be found. Why does everyone share this? One more question--how do you clean the phone? Do I use the wipe that came with the iPhone, which is something like an optical wipe? How about the keys?? Thanks for all your helpful posts. You're wonderful. I'm a newbie.....

I totally forgot about the wallpaper! Did you get the link from this site and go to it? When you go to the link you should get a small picture and from there you go to the menu and click fit to screen then save it to the memory card. Also when you see the save button there should be a small box to set it as your background!

Hope this helps! Welcom to the BlackBerry Family!

The Pin is a unique set of 8 characters (letters and/or numbers). They are specific to each device and cannot be changed. To check your PIN go to the options and in the "Status" section it will be displayed there next to the PIN:. You can also type mypin in a message and it will magically appear!
